In 2015, a Japanese publisher acquired the rights to the book “Children’s feet – Children’s shoes: All you need to know about little feet and shoes.”
So in May, our research team will be heading off halfway around the world to see if kids in Japan are wearing shoes that fit. In cooperation with Clemens Hagen, an Austrian orthopedic shoemaker living and working in Japan, the team will be having a closer look at preschoolers and the fit of their shoes in Tokyo and Nagano. The results will be compared with those of a current project in Austria, conducted in cooperation with the regional health insurance organization for Salzburg, the Salzburger Gebietskrankenkasse.
